    About Siwandu

Siwandu is sheltered in a grove of palms on the shores of Lake Nzerakera, part of the watery byways of the Rufiji River system. Siwandu is perfectly situated within the prime game area to fully experience the abundant wildlife of Selous Game Reserve. Explore the breathtaking landscape by foot on our morning game walks, by 4WD vehicles with our expert driver guides and on the water with boat cruises on both the river and on the lake. Broadly spaced along the lakeshore, Siwandu’s superbly appointed accommodation ensures maximum privacy and every opportunity to soak up the sights and sounds of the purest African bush.  The ten spacious octagonal tents allows guests to observe animals as they saunter past while reclining on the majestic king sized bed under the overhead fan or from the open-air stargazer showers which adjoin the en-suite bathrooms.
  • Roho ya Selous

$ 1,149 Per adult per night
Roho ya Selous strikes the perfect balance between comfort and adventure. The real magic of the Selous is the variety each day on safari brings. Explore the reserve on a game drive searching for that elusive leopard or set out on foot tracking wildlife. Catch monster catfish while dodging enormous hippos and hungry crocodiles - every day in Selous is full of surprises.
  • Beho Beho

$ 1,250 Per adult per night
Beho Beho was the first camp in The Selous Game Reserve to be sited in its cooler highlands. Here it enjoys 'cooling breezes' from which it derives its name. Designated a private camp, it has fiercely protected its individuality and privileged location. It is one of the most magical places to visit in safari Africa. Beho Beho is not really a camp in the true sense of the word. It has individual bandas built of stone, with palm-leaf thatched roofs. Therefore it is not the tented accommodation often associated with a camp. Nor is it a safari lodge either, as it has only eight bandas, four on one side of the main house and four on the other. Think of Beho Beho as a home, a very private home situated in the middle of the African bush. Owned by the Bailey family for over forty years, they now share their "home in the bush".  A fortunate few are able to share their enjoyment of Beho Beho, one of their favourite places in the world.
  • Sand Rivers Selous

$ 1,120 Per adult per night
Sand Rivers Selous is perched right on the banks of the Rufiji River. All the main areas and rooms have superb river views. It was the first safari lodge to open in the Selous Game Reserve and as such, had the pick of locations. It’s really rather special in an area that is far away from the main hub of the park where you will hardly see another soul. Sand Rivers Selous has just 8 stone and thatched cottages, all are open-fronted and raised on decks overlooking the river. There are 5 Riverside rooms - with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, flush toilets and powerful showers - and 3 Hillside Suites. The Suites have all the above, but a large living space and a small plunge pool.
  • Kiba Point Selous

$ 4,480 Per adult per night
Kiba Point is a exclusive-use lodge for up to 10 persons situated just down river from Sand Rivers Selous. One of the greatest privileges here is to be properly left alone in nature. Kiba Point is a private hideaway for families and friends, with just four suites reclining by the Rufiji River. With a private guide and camp staff, the freedom to explore the Selous is all there for the taking, on your timetable and your terms. Price shown is for 4 adults. Extra charge applies for each extra guest, with a limit of 10. Ask for a quotation based on group size. Perched on the banks of the Rufiji River, all main areas and rooms have superb river views. Richard Bonham had the pick of locations when he chose this place – we think you’ll agree it’s really rather special.
