Hodi Hodi Zanzibar is a small lodge with 3 separate beach houses situated on Matemwe Beach on Zanzibar’s East coast. Its quality / price ration is good, making this an interesting option if you don’t want to spend more than necessary while enjoying a beautiful beach setting.
This is a relatively quiet area – a place to for relax in a tropical setting. Rooms or an entire house can be booked, either on a fully catered basis or with a meal plan as required. From Hodi Hodi, there is a range of the most common activities available at an extra cost. This is not a large resort, so don’t expect host of in-house restaurants, nightlife options and so on. There are options for eating out nearby and many people prefer to remain flexible when booking, taking one meal away – all depending on the day’s activities.
As with most of Zanzibar’s East Coast, the area is tidal with shallow (almost non-existant) water at low tide that allows you to walk out a long way. Plan your swimming around the high tide and spend time visiting or out on the water during low tide.
