Located in a working coffee plantation, Arusha Coffee Lodge is a welcome retreat after a long international flight, or the dust and excitement of a thrilling bush safari. Reminiscent of traditional plantation houses, 30 wooden chalets with spacious, airy and modern interiors are set amongst the surrounding gardens and coffee trees. Vibrant gardens, a spa, a collection of boutiques and a swimming pool await. A restaurant, Bacchus, and café bistro, 3° South, boast menus to satisfy the most discerning of palates.

Description
In our opinion, Arusha Coffee Lodge is without a doubt, one of the best places to overnight if you have a plane to catch in the morning from Arusha domestic airport, just 10 minutes away. Set outside Arusha town to the West inside Burka Coffee Estate, Arusha Coffee Lodge has evolved over time and become a great place to hang out in the gardens, enjoy a good meal and drink and from where you can head over to the in-house coffee and cake shop.
Then there is Shanga, which started out as a community project making curios and collectables from recycled glass – all handblown right on site which makes for some interesting interaction with those working there. There are a few shops where you can pick up a gift for those back home.
If you plan to do some sightseeing while in Arusha, this is a little far from Arusha National Park and even further from Kilimanjaro National park, but it is great if you want to focus on Arusha itself, where there are some interesting markets and shopping along with a few good places to eat. You do get a bit of a head start if your next stopover is Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti and you plan to get their by road.
Arusha Coffee Lodge is a bit pricey, but that is because it is in high demand and provides a great service all round.
We use it often for its convenience and quality.
