Explore a rich landscape of inky blue skies, burnt orange sunsets and the soft neutrals of the African savannah. Nyasi, meaning grass, is hidden under the deep shade of acacia canopies. The camp moves between 2 locations in the Serengeti (North and South) throughout the year, following in the footsteps of The Great Migration. Guests are granted a front row seat to the procession of more than two million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle as they wander across the vast grass plains.

Nyasi Camp – perfect for privacy!
Vast herds of wildebeest pass just outside your tent, following a migratory path worn over millennia. Far-ranging herds of wildebeest make the iconic Great Migration travelling a never-ending circuit from the southern Serengeti in Tanzania, and up to the northwest to the mighty Mara River, and back again. Nyasi Migrational Camp is perfectly situated in the Serengeti and move with the migration.
The camp moves from the savannah of Lamai north of the Mara River in northern Serengeti to the short grass plains of southern Serengeti in Maswa Game Reserve right on the border with Serengeti National Park.
The camp has 8 en-suite tents and 1 family tent (with 2 en-suite rooms and a shared lounge). Pitched in 2 parts, whereby one section has 6 tents and the other 2 tents plus the family tent. Each section faces a different direction and is self-contained with its own lounge and dining facility to ensure maximum privacy. The separate sections of each camp operate independently, sharing a back of house allowing for each half to operate on a ‘Private Exclusive Basis’.
NORTHERN SERENGETI: Nyasi is accessed via Lamai airstrip on the northern side of the Mara River.
Location: Northern Serengeti at Lamai (1 June – 15 October) / Southern Serengeti at Maswa (15 December – 31 March).
Nyasi’s sister camp (Songa) is now permanently situated in the Kogatende area in Northern Serengeti. Together, these combine perfectly with Mwiba Lodge, Chem Chem Lodge, Little Chem Chem and Legendary Lodge in Arusha.
