Brief Description

This Ultimate Tanzania safari, visits the country’s most famous parks, combining Northern, Western and Southern Tanzania.  It is a spectacular 3 week drive and fly safari, best suited to the period July to October.

In northern Tanzania, visit Tarangire park, spectacular in the dry season with a brief stop at the small but unique Manyara National Park on your way to Ngorongoro crater. Here your camp is perched in an isolated spot on the north western rim of the crater. From Ngorongoro, fly to northern Serengeti, staying at the small seasonal classic mobile safari camp situated in Northern Serengeti. This gives you the best of the amazing wildebeest migration. From Serengeti, fly South for a true beast retreat – wild Katavi and Tarzan’s heaven at Mahale, on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Prepare yourself for some monkeying about with the chimps and swimming in the lake. The last week has you visiting remote Ruaha National Park before a final stop on the banks of the mighty Rufiji River in Africa’s largest wildlife reserve – the Selous.

Enjoy night drives in Tarangire, Katavi and Selous, fly camping (extra cost) at Katavi and Selous. Try your hand at fishing in the crystalline waters of Lake Tanganyika or the Rufiji River for Catfish and Tiger fish. Walk with Maasai warriors along the rim of Ngorongoro and head out for professionally guided bush walks in Serengeti, Katavi and Selous.

To top it all off, experience excellent guiding, superb food, low impact and stylish safari camps and the very best wildlife viewing Tanzania has on offer. This is the one safari you should consider if Tanzania is on your wish list and you want to make the most of your African Safari.
