5 Night Northern Tanzania Safari

If your time in Tanzania is limited, then this combination of Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Northern Serengeti offers a superb experience. This trip combines driving with flying between locations. You will be staying at small camps with excellent service. Experienced guides will make your visit an unforgettable one. This trip is suited to the dry season from July through to November, when the Serengeti camp is situated in the North of Serengeti park at one of two locations that you can choose from. If you wish, you can also upgrade to Lamai Serengeti Camp, which is closer to where you land when flying North. During the dry season, explore the banks of the Mara River which is filled with hippo and crocodile.  With luck, witness the Wildebeest Migration crossing the river, which is an amazing sight.

The Ngorongoro Crater is spectacular at any time of year, although there are more visitors during the holiday months in July and August. Entamanu Camp is situated close to the Crater descent road. This makes it one of the best locations to stay at if you aim to access the crater ahead of other visitors. In Serengeti, the migrating wildebeest can typically be found near the Mara River during July, August and September. The Serengeti camp is located set at Nyamalumbwa, well removed from the higher density tourist areas. This makes your experience more private than can be expected at camps located near Kogatende airstrip.

Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park have excellent resident wildlife, with the big 5 just one of many attractions of this journey.
