Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive and transfer to Arusha
Just 10 minutes from Arusha Airport, Legendary Lodge offers a luxurious retreat on a historic coffee plantation. Set in lush tropical gardens, the lodge features ten spacious garden cottages with private verandas, king-size beds, cozy lounges, and fireplaces. Interiors combine African style with colonial elegance, while verandas frame views of Mount Meru. Guests enjoy gourmet dining at the Old Farmhouse restaurant, rejuvenating treatments at the spa, and guided tours of the coffee estate. Ideally located on the outskirts of Arusha, Legendary Lodge provides a serene gateway to Tanzania’s safari destinations—perfect for unwinding before or after your adventure.
Day 2: Road transfer from Arusha to Chem Chem next to Tarangire
Little Chem Chem, known as the “sunrise camp,” perches on the edge of an acacia forest in northern Tanzania, within the iconic Tarangire River landscape. Surrounded by ancient baobabs, overlooking Lake Burunge, and framed by the Babati Mountains and Tarangire hills, the camp offers breathtaking scenery. With only five luxury tents, it provides an intimate safari experience blending comfort, style, and wilderness immersion. Guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, birding excursions, or simply relax with panoramic sunrise views. Vintage charm, warm hospitality, and an authentic safari atmosphere make Little Chem Chem the perfect retreat to slow down and reconnect with nature.
Day 5: Fly to Serengeti
Songa Migrational Camp follows the Great Migration, relocating twice a year between the northern and southern Serengeti. Guests enjoy a front-row view of over two million wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson’s gazelle as they traverse the vast grasslands.
In the south, the camp moves to Maswa Game Reserve, an exclusive wildlife area bordering the southern Serengeti. Its prime location on sweeping short-grass plains provides uninterrupted access to the herds during calving season, offering an extraordinary, private safari experience without other tourists in sight.
Day 10: End of Journey
Onward arrangements from Serengeti are not included. You may may opt for a flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, to end your journey (free if you book another night at Little Chem Chem) or perhaps extend your adventure to another wildlife destination or perhaps the Swahili Coast. Flights also connect Serengeti with both Rwanda and Uganda where you can add on that special Gorilla trekking experience.

Rates Include
Luxury en-suite accommodation at Legendary Lodge includes: breakfast, dinner, coffee, tea, mini bar stocked with soft drinks and water, local beers and house wines with dinner, and Wi-Fi internet access.
Luxury en-suite accommodation at Little Chem Chem and Songa Migrational Camp includes: all meals, bottled water, soft drinks, house wines, locally available spirits and beers, coffee, tea, laundry service and Wi-Fi Internet access.
Please note: depending on location, availability, or preference, Songa Migrational Camp may be interchanged with one of Legendary Expeditions
Serengeti National Park properties—Mila Tented Camp or Nyasi Tented Camp.
Includes road transfers from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to Legendary Lodge, and Legendary Lodge to Little Chem Chem. Includes a flight from Little Chem Chem to Songa Migrational Camp.
Includes all safari activities and game drives in a private safari vehicle, cultural interactions and time with local communities, park fees and conservation fees, Medivac cover, arrival and departure meet and greet per night.
Rates Exclude
International flights to/from Kilimanjaro International Airport, travel and cancellation insurance, visa fees, items of a personal nature, gratuities, fine wines and French champagne, cigars, boutique purchases, additional day trips (i.e. helicopter excursions), fees or tours not mentioned.
For Legendary Lodge (Arusha) only: drinks, lunch, laundry services, spa treatments, and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) is not included.
