Ugalla River National Park
The park comprises 3865 square kilometres of the greater wildlife spectacle and this is your chance to walk amongst it all. In 2019, Ugalla River National Park was converted from the previous Game Reserve status. There are no other lodges or camps in this area, and the amazing river landscape is in the pre-development phase for traditional tourism, remaining in the meantime, a remarkable wilderness, home to many species not seen in the North of Tanzania. Nomad has always had a particular attraction to this kind of wild, this is where it all began and now operates during a few months of each year one of it's Expeditionary Walking Camps. These camps also operate in Ruaha and Serengeti National Park's remote areas. The simple walking camp, is a conscious step back to Nomad's roots as safari pioneers, because while the world may have changed, the things that make a safari exceptional haven’t. The Expeditionary Walking Camp is the ultimate way for a group of friends or family to get off-grid in little known areas of Tanzania. The experience is adventurous by its very nature, but much of the pleasure is the gentle rhythm that establishes itself on your safari. Price shown is for 3+ guests. For 2 guests, the daily rate is US$ 1540 per person Ugalla River National Parks Flier -
First off, a disclaimer: flycamping has nothing to do with flying. Rather, it takes its name from sleeping in the bush under nothing more than a flysheet, as was the camping tradition before the luxury‐laden era of ‘glamping’ arrived. The premise is that you spend the days walking, and the nights sleeping out in light weight tents, in a makeshift camp that moves each day – the end of each day’s walk brings you to your new site for the night. -

Serengeti is Africa’s most famous park. The variety and abundance of wildlife here is unmatched anywhere else in Africa. In the north of Serengeti, Serengeti Green Camp is located in a beautiful area in the Tabora B area south of the Mara River. The camp is on the edge of the wilderness zones, away from the hustle and bustle of other camps, cars and people but close enough not to miss the crossings when they occur. Serengeti Green Camp offers a peaceful, remote location from which to enjoy the best the Serengeti has to offer in wildlife sightings. -
Serengeti Walking Camps are lightweight private camps set in wilderness areas far from the busy tourist areas. These camps are designed to move catering for up to 6 days of walking in an area. Camp tents are relatively small 2.5m x 2.5m dome tents but with comfortable foam mattresses are covered with 100% linen bedding. Meals are eaten under the stars or in the shade of of a tree. A small mess tent is available in the event of bad weather. All meals are 3-course sit down affairs, prepared by the camp chef and served by waiters. All walking camps are private and groups and therefore never mixed.
