Serengeti Walking Camps are lightweight private camps set in wilderness areas far from the busy tourist areas. These camps are designed to move catering for up to 6 days of walking in an area. Camp tents are relatively small 2.5m x 2.5m dome tents but with comfortable foam mattresses are covered with 100% linen bedding. Meals are eaten under the stars or in the shade of of a tree. A small mess tent is available in the event of bad weather. All meals are 3-course sit down affairs, prepared by the camp chef and served by waiters. All walking camps are private and groups and therefore never mixed. -
Chem Chem lies just outside of Tarangire Park
Little Chem Chem is situated just outside Northwestern boundary of Tarangire National Park overlooking Lake Burunge. It lies within a 16,000 hectare exclusive-use wildlife management area. Guests have the privilege of enjoying amazing interaction with a variety of wildlife species including the big tusker elephants which have found a sanctuary in the WMA. Walking, night drives, cultural visits and game drives are the main activities on offer in the area. Access by road from Arusha, taking about 2 hours, or alternatively and highly recommended, fly to Kuro Airstrip in the center of Tarangire and gradually make your way to camp on a game drive provided by Chem Chem. -

Beho Beho was the first camp in The Selous Game Reserve to be sited in its cooler highlands. Here it enjoys 'cooling breezes' from which it derives its name. Designated a private camp, it has fiercely protected its individuality and privileged location. It is one of the most magical places to visit in safari Africa. Beho Beho is not really a camp in the true sense of the word. It has individual bandas built of stone, with palm-leaf thatched roofs. Therefore it is not the tented accommodation often associated with a camp. Nor is it a safari lodge either, as it has only eight bandas, four on one side of the main house and four on the other. Think of Beho Beho as a home, a very private home situated in the middle of the African bush. Owned by the Bailey family for over forty years, they now share their "home in the bush". A fortunate few are able to share their enjoyment of Beho Beho, one of their favourite places in the world. -

For over 20 years, the area of Soit Le Motonyi was closed to tourism and reserved as a cheetah conservation and breeding program. As a result of this program, the area now features the highest density of cheetah in East Africa, along with high numbers of lion and leopard, allowing for excellent year round game viewing. Between November and May, the camp is well positioned to access the vast herds of the annual Migration as they pass through Soit Le Motonyi and gather on the plains to the south west of Namiri Plains. Namiri Camp has now been reopened as a completely renovated permanent tented lodge. -

The 8 tented camp is set high in the Ngorongoro Highlands on the slopes of the Olmoti Volcano. The are views of the Gol Mountains in the North and Empakaai Crater in the East. The Highlands offers a comfortable and stylish high-altitude retreat in dome shaped tents, inspired by the Maasai bomas dotting the surrounding highlands. The eight large tents have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and plumbed showers. Snug beds and a wood burning stove keep guests warm on even the coldest nights. The main area offers both sunrise views from the dining area, as well as sunset views from the bar/ lounge and a large inside fire place to ensure the safari feeling of a camp fire even when the temperature outside is too cold to sit out. -
Sayari Camp is a spectacular 15-tent camp near the Mara River in northern Serengeti National Park. Sayari Camp has 2 parts, one with 9 tents and one with 6 tents. Sand Rivers Selous is perched right on the banks of the Rufiji River. All the main areas and rooms have superb river views. It was the first safari lodge to open in the Selous Game Reserve and as such, had the pick of locations. It’s really rather special in an area that is far away from the main hub of the park where you will hardly see another soul. Sand Rivers Selous has just 8 stone and thatched cottages, all are open-fronted and raised on decks overlooking the river. There are 5 Riverside rooms - with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, flush toilets and powerful showers - and 3 Hillside Suites. The Suites have all the above, but a large living space and a small plunge pool.
