Hemingways Nairobi

Hemingways Nairobi is a plantation-style hotel of white colonnades, high ceilings and wide lawns, set in Karen on the edge of the city. It is light and spacious throughout, and every room looks west towards the outline of the Ngong Hills, best enjoyed with a sundowner from the bar.

All 45 rooms are suites of at least 80 m², each with a private balcony or terrace and a marble bathroom with a separate bath and shower, double basins and a walk-in wardrobe. A personal butler looks after each suite, from unpacking and pressing to arranging the next day’s outings.

Suites

Deluxe Suites are on the ground floor of each wing, with a sitting area and terrace. Executive Suites are on the upper floor, with high vaulted ceilings. For families or longer stays, the 160 m² Blixen Suite adds a living and dining room and a kitchen, and the 240 m² Hemingways Suite has a living room, study and dining room opening onto a large terrace.

Facilities

There is a restaurant, a brasserie, a bar and lounge, a swimming pool, a spa and a gym, with Wi-Fi throughout. The hotel is close to the Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Centre, and about 40 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, traffic permitting, and a short drive from Wilson Airport for safari flights.
