This new tented camp is in prime wildlife territory, a beautiful and bountiful area that is home to superb resident predators and big game. This is a Serengeti experience like no other, off-grid and away from the tourist track, the Serengeti of old. Kusini Serengeti fits perfectly into our northern journeys that dance around the edges into wilderness areas far from the crowds.

Description
Location
In the southern part of Serengeti National Park, to the west of the Ndutu short grass plains. This area is away from busier areas of the park and with excellent game viewing.
Setting
Amongst a collection of impressive granite kopjes.
Accommodation
Six large, open plan tents on raised platforms with en-suite bathrooms including flush toilets and showers. Each tent is set under a shady tree with private veranda to allow guests to sit out and enjoy the woodland environment. Game often gathers around the mess that sits alongside the kopje. The intricate network of kopjes provides many special spots for sundowners and stargazing.
Highlights
The small, stylishly simple tented camp is off the beaten track in the south western part of the Serengeti National Park, and provides a wonderful bolt-hole as we build our considered journeys in the north for the curious traveller. The area is perfect to experience the migration from December to March but resident game in the dry season is also superb and this is a fantastic option for guests looking beyond the obvious. Nomad guides have been stomping these grounds for decades, walking, kopje climbing and enjoying the quieter areas of the famous Serengeti.
Activities
Game drives, walking safaris straight from camp or into further afield areas of the park, sundowners and cookout bush breakfasts and dinners, outstanding resident game viewing and migration madness, also climbing huge kopjes for sundowners and stargazing!
Child Policy
We are delighted to accept children over the age of 8 at Kusini Serengeti. The tented camp does not have a family tent but we are very happy for younger children to be accommodated in a triple with parents. Only children over 12yrs are allowed to take part in walking safaris.
Getting There
Access to Kusini is either by road from Ngorongoro or Ndutu with journey time from Entamanu of around 3-4 hours via Endulen and Ndutu. The Southern Serengeti Airstrip is 15 minutes from camp.
