Zawadi Hotel, Zanzibar is part of The Zanzibar Collection and is located on the South East Coast of Zanzibar.

Located one hour drive from the airport and 20 minutes north of Paje the hotel is only two minutes drive north of the other Zanzibar Collection properties. Zawadi Hotel, sits atop a cliff with views of the Indian Ocean. In the middle the cliff descends and guests have access to the beach from a short staircase leading directly to the sand. It lies in front of a lagoon where there is always water for swimming and snorkelling, even at low tide.

Our comments about Zawadi Hotel

An excellent choice for couples wanting a stay in a child-free location, set a little away from other busier areas on Zanzibar. Apart from great service and comfortable rooms, an added bonus is that Zawadi has a channel of deeper water just off the beach, something that is absent at almost all the other properties on the East Coast. This means that even at low tide, you can enjoy swimming in the ocean when staying at Zawadi Hotel. Another plus, are the free transfers between Zawadi and its sister properties set a little to the South – Baraza, Breezes and Palms. That means you can have a chance of scenery from time to time and take advantage of included activities at some of the other properties by the same group.

Rising Sun Dive Center (PADI 5 star). Diving in the shallow lagoon is accessible directly from the beach. A shuttle service to the sister hotels (2 km away) at specific scheduled times, allows Zawadi guests to use the tennis courts and the Water Club (kite surfing, sailing, snorkeling safari by boat) all available at a charge. Snorkeling equipment and reef shoe rental (to allow snorkeling from the beach) and kayaks are available free of charge at Zawadi.
