Kati Kati Serengeti Camp

Kati Kati Serengeti Camp

$ 237 Per adult per night

Kati Kati Camp offers comfortable accommodation and an opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience. The camp is only two hours scenic drive from Olduvai Gorge Museum or the Grumeti River. Offering reasonably priced accommodation and standard meals for guests visiting the busier central part of Serengeti National Park. This is a good option for those on a budget. It is not a destination for those seeking high standards of decor and style.

A centrally located mess tent provides meals to the 10-tent safari camp. There are several Kati Kati Camps – all going by the same name and located at different spots in the Seronera area. Guests will be put up in one of these similar camps. There are 1o double tents and one family tent with en suite facilities.

Description

Comment

Kati Kati Camp is not one, but rather a group of similar smaller camps with the same name, set in the same area but at different camp locations. At last count, the camps are set in 4 different Serengeti locations, in the South at Ndutu (3 camps), in Central Serengeti in the Serengeti Valley (6 camps), in the West (3 camps) in the North near Kogatende and the Mara River (2 camps). In addition, there also a Tarangire Kati Kati Camp. Where you stay really depends on which camp has availability at the time you book that area.

Kati Kati Camps are among the least expensive camps operating in the parks, so don’t expect too much, although you will have the opportunity to stay in comfortable tent in the parks. These camps can only be booked on a driving safari where you come with your own vehicle or your ground operator’s vehicle. That usually means arriving by road from Arusha, or flying in and meeting up with your guide and vehicle.

If on a budget, keep these camps in mind. Do expect to be in some of the busier areas of the park. If your budget allows, consider stepping up the quality ladder, either with one of the other properties by the same operator or selecting a different camp or lodge.
